Krishna નું શોણિતપુર પ્રયાણ Krishna Marches to Shonitpur Krishna का शोणितपुर प्रस्थान

Rukmini laments to Krishna that their grandson Aniruddha, described as a tender child who cannot even tie his own turban, has been imprisoned in the demon Banasura's city of Shonitpur, as reported by Narada. Krishna summons Garuda, who boasts of his immense strength to carry the entire Yadava army of fifty-six crores, and the great host sets off. Upon arrival, Krishna descends into Banasura's garden, and Garuda is commanded to free Aniruddha.

  9. 9 પ્રભુએ અમને પુરુષ ન સરજાવિયાં રે, તો સૌ પહેલાં વઢવા જાત જો મારો.
  10. 10 ત્યારે શ્રીકૃષ્ણે ગરુડ તેડાવિયા રે, તે તો આવિયા તત્કાળ જો;
  11. 11 કેટલો સહેશો ભાર જો. મારો.
  12. 12 ભગવાન કહે છે ગરુડને રે, તમે કેટલો સહેશો ભાર જો.
  13. 13 તમો છપ્પન કોટી જાદવ જેટલા રે, તે તો સર્વે થાઓ અસવાર જો;
  14. 14 તમે સાંભળો કૃષ્ણ કોડારે, તો એ મુજને ન આવે આંચ જો;
  15. 15 છાંસી જોજનની મારી પંખની રે, ત્રણ જોજનની મારી ચાંચ જો મારો.
  16. 16 પછી ગરુડે ચઢીને ગોવિંદ પરવાર્યા રે, ત્યારે ગડગડિયાં નિશાન જો;
  17. 17 પંખના વાગી જ્યારે ગરુડની રે, ત્યારે નાસી ગયા સારંગપાણ જો;
  18. 18 શ્રી કૃષ્ણ વાડીમાં ઊતર્યાં, તેનાં કોણ કરે રે વખાણ જો. મારો.
વલણ: કૃષ્ણ વાડીમાં ઊતર્યા, માંગ્યું રાયનું વન રે; ગરુડને આજ્ઞા આપી, મુકાવી લાવો તન રે.

Translation

અનિરુદ્ધની સહાય માટે શ્રીકૃષ્ણ શોણિતપુર તરફ પ્રયાણ કરે છે. કમળા — એટલે કે રુક્ષ્મણી — હૈયામાં વ્યથાની જ્વાળા લઈ કલ્પાંત કરે છે: 'મારો કુંવર કારાગ્રહમાં બંધાઈ ગયો છે! મારો અનિરુદ્ધ તો હજી નાનકડું બાળ છે — એને પાઘડી બાંધતાંય ઠીક ન આવડે!' રુક્ષ્મણીએ કૃષ્ણને બોલાવ્યા અને કહ્યું, 'હે દીનાનાથ, સાંભળો — નારદજીએ આવીને વાત કરી કે આપણો બાળ અસુરના ઘરે બંધાઈ ગયો છે. અનિરુદ્ધ તો બોલતાં પણ ઠીક નથી જાણતો, તો યુદ્ધની વાત ક્યાંથી સમજે? ચાલતાં-ફરતાં ઠોકર ખાઈ પડે એવો નાનો છે. મેં એને ક્યારેય નિશાળે ભણવા ન મોકલ્યો, ગુરુના માર ક્યારેય ન સહ્યા — અને ઈશ્વરે મને પુરુષ ન બનાવ્યો, નહીં તો હું સૌ પહેલી વઢવા ચડી જાત!' ત્યારે શ્રીકૃષ્ણે ગરુડને તેડાવ્યા, અને ગરુડ તત્કાળ આવી પહોંચ્યા. ભગવાને ગરુડને પૂછ્યું, 'તમે કેટલો ભાર સહી શકો?' ગરુડે ઉત્તર આપ્યો, 'છપ્પન કોટી યાદવ સૌ મારી પીઠ પર સવાર થઈ જાઓ — મને આંચ નહીં આવે; મારી પાંખ છાંસી યોજન લાંબી છે અને ચાંચ ત્રણ યોજન લાંબી છે.' પછી ગોવિંદ ગરુડ પર ચઢ્યા, નિશાન ગડગડ્યાં, ગરુડની પાંખ ફફડી ત્યારે સારંગ — એટલે કે ઇન્દ્ર — ભય પામી નાઠા. શ્રીકૃષ્ણ શોણિતપુરની વાડીમાં ઊતર્યા — એ ક્ષણ એવી ભવ્ય હતી કે એનાં વખાણ કોણ કરી શકે? ત્યાં ઊતરીને કૃષ્ણે ગરુડને આજ્ઞા આપી: 'જાઓ, રાજાના ઉદ્યાનમાં ઘૂસો અને અનિરુદ્ધને છોડાવી લઈ આવો.'

To rescue Aniruddha, Krishna sets out for Shonitpur. Kamala — that is, Rukmini — is consumed by grief, a flame of anguish rising in her heart, and she laments: 'My son is imprisoned in a demon's dungeon! My Aniruddha is still a small child — he does not even know how to tie his own turban properly!' Rukmini summons Krishna and cries out, 'O Lord of the helpless, hear me — Narada came and told us that our child has been bound in the house of an asura. Aniruddha barely knows how to speak; what could he possibly know of battle? He is so young that he stumbles and falls simply walking about. I never sent him to school, never let a teacher's rod touch him — and God did not make me a man, or else I would have been the first to march out and fight!' Then Krishna summoned Garuda, who arrived instantly. The Lord asked Garuda, 'How much weight can you bear?' Garuda replied, 'Let all fifty-six crore Yadavas mount upon my back — I shall not feel the strain; my wings span sixty yojanas and my beak is three yojanas long.' Krishna then mounted Garuda, the war-drums thundered, and when Garuda's mighty wings beat the air, even Saranga — Indra himself — fled in fear. Krishna descended into the garden of Shonitpur — a moment so magnificent that no tongue could do it justice. Having landed, Krishna gave Garuda his command: go into the royal grove and bring Aniruddha's body free.

अनिरुद्ध की सहायता के लिए श्रीकृष्ण शोणितपुर की ओर प्रस्थान करते हैं। कमला — अर्थात रुक्मिणी — के हृदय में वेदना की ज्वाला उठती है और वे विलाप करती हैं: 'मेरा कुँवर कारागार में बंद कर दिया गया है! मेरा अनिरुद्ध तो अभी छोटा-सा बालक है — उसे ठीक से पगड़ी बाँधनी भी नहीं आती!' रुक्मिणी ने कृष्ण को बुलाया और कहा, 'हे दीनानाथ, सुनिए — नारदजी ने आकर बताया कि हमारा बालक असुर के घर में बंदी बना लिया गया है। अनिरुद्ध तो ठीक से बोलना भी नहीं जानता, युद्ध की बात वह क्या समझेगा? चलते-फिरते ठोकर खाकर गिर पड़ता है — इतना छोटा है वह। मैंने उसे कभी पाठशाला नहीं भेजा, कभी गुरु की मार नहीं सहने दी — और ईश्वर ने मुझे पुरुष नहीं बनाया, वरना मैं सबसे पहले लड़ने चली जाती!' तब श्रीकृष्ण ने गरुड को बुलाया और वे तत्काल आ पहुँचे। भगवान ने गरुड से पूछा, 'तुम कितना भार सह सकते हो?' गरुड ने उत्तर दिया, 'छप्पन करोड़ यादव सभी मेरी पीठ पर सवार हो जाएँ — मुझे कोई कष्ट नहीं होगा; मेरे पंख साठ योजन लंबे हैं और मेरी चोंच तीन योजन लंबी है।' इसके बाद गोविंद गरुड पर सवार हुए, नगाड़े गड़गड़ाए, और जब गरुड के पंख फड़फड़ाए तो सारंग — अर्थात इंद्र — भयभीत होकर भाग खड़े हुए। श्रीकृष्ण शोणितपुर की वाटिका में उतरे — वह दृश्य इतना भव्य था कि उसका वर्णन कौन कर सके? वहाँ उतरकर कृष्ण ने गरुड को आज्ञा दी: राजा के उद्यान में जाओ और अनिरुद्ध को मुक्त कराकर लाओ।
