ગરુડ દ્વારા અનિરુદ્ધની કૃષ્ણ પાસે વાપસી Garuda Brings Aniruddha to Krishna गरुड़ द्वारा अनिरुद्ध की कृष्ण के पास वापसी

Garuda carries Aniruddha back to Krishna, overcoming several obstacles along the way — drinking from a river, extinguishing a field of embers with that water, scattering ghosts and spirits with his wings, and destroying the serpents coiled around the prince. Upon safe arrival, Uddhava and Akrura tease Krishna that he went to fetch his grandson without inviting them along.

  3. 3 ત્યાંથી આઘેરો પરવર્યો, જ્યાં ધગધગતા અંગાર; પાણી પેલું પીધું હતું તે, ઠાલવ્યું તે ઠાર.
  4. 4 ત્યાંથી આઘેરો પરવર્યો, જ્યાં ભૂતને પ્રેત; પાંખે મારી પાડિયાં, કીધાં સર્વે અચેત.
  5. 5 ત્યાંથી આઘેરે ચાલો, કુંવરને કોટે નાગ; નાનાને આખા ગળ્યા, મોટાના કર્યા બે ભાગ.
  6. 6 ભલું થજો ભગવાન તમારું, પુરણ પામ્યો આહાર; કુંવરને મુકાવી લાવ્યો, જ્યાં છે જુગત આધાર.
  7. 7 ઓધવ ને અકુર બે હસીઆ, ભલા કૃષ્ણના તન; તમે આવ્યા પરણવાને, ન અમને લાવ્યા સંગ.

Translation

ગરુડ અનિરુદ્ધને લઈને ત્યાંથી ઊડ્યો. રસ્તામાં એક વિશાળ નદી આવી, જ્યાં ગરુડે પોતાની ચાંચ બોળીને ખૂબ પાણી પીધું. ત્યાંથી આગળ વધતાં એક એવી જગ્યા આવી જ્યાં ધગધગતા અંગારા સળગી રહ્યા હતા; ગરુડે પેલું પીધેલું પાણી ત્યાં ઠાલવી દીધું અને અગ્નિ શાંત કર્યો. ત્યાંથી વધુ આગળ ચાલ્યા ત્યાં ભૂત-પ્રેતોનો ઉપદ્રવ હતો, પણ ગરુડે પોતાની શક્તિશાળી પાંખો ફટકારી અને સૌ ભૂત-પ્રેતોને અચેત કરી નાખ્યાં. ત્યાંથી આગળ જતાં કુંવર અનિરુદ્ધને વીંટળાઈ વળેલા નાગ હતા; નાના નાગોને ગરુડે આખા ગળી લીધા અને મોટા નાગોના બે ટુકડા કરી નાખ્યા. ગરુડ પ્રભુ પાસે પહોંચ્યો અને બોલ્યો, 'ભગવાન, તમારો ઉપકાર છે, આજ મને ભરપૂર આહાર મળ્યો અને કુંવર અનિરુદ્ધને છોડાવીને હું તમારી પાસે, જ્યાં સાચો આધાર છે ત્યાં, લઈ આવ્યો.' ત્યારે ઉદ્ધવ અને અક્રૂર બંને હસ્યા અને બોલ્યા, 'ધન્ય છે, કૃષ્ણ! તમે પરણવા ગયા પણ અમને સાથે ન લઈ ગયા!'

Garuda flew away from there carrying Aniruddha, and soon came upon a vast river, where he dipped his beak and drank deeply of its waters. Flying further ahead, he reached a place where fierce, blazing embers burned; there he poured out the water he had drunk and extinguished the fire completely. Moving still further, he encountered a realm swarming with ghosts and spirits, but Garuda beat his mighty wings and struck them all down, rendering every one of them senseless. Pressing on, he found the young prince Aniruddha bound and encircled by serpents; the smaller ones Garuda swallowed whole, and the larger ones he split into two. Arriving before the Lord, Garuda declared, 'Blessed be you, O God — today I have had my fill of food, and I have freed the prince Aniruddha and brought him here to you, the true and eternal refuge.' At this, Uddhava and Akrura both laughed and said to Krishna, 'Well done, O Krishna — you went away to be wed and did not even take us along!'

गरुड वहाँ से अनिरुद्ध को लेकर उड़ चला। रास्ते में एक विशाल नदी आई, जहाँ उसने अपनी चोंच डुबोकर खूब जल पिया। वहाँ से आगे बढ़ने पर एक ऐसा स्थान आया जहाँ धधकते अंगारे जल रहे थे; गरुड ने वहाँ पिया हुआ जल उड़ेल दिया और अग्नि को शांत कर दिया। उससे भी आगे जाने पर भूत-प्रेतों का उपद्रव था, किंतु गरुड ने अपने शक्तिशाली पंख फटकारे और सभी भूत-प्रेतों को अचेत कर दिया। आगे चलने पर कुँवर अनिरुद्ध को नागों ने घेर रखा था; छोटे नागों को गरुड ने पूरा निगल लिया और बड़े नागों के दो टुकड़े कर दिए। प्रभु के पास पहुँचकर गरुड बोला, 'भगवान, आपका भला हो — आज मुझे भरपूर आहार मिला और मैं कुँवर अनिरुद्ध को छुड़ाकर आपके पास, जो सच्चे आधार हैं, ले आया।' यह सुनकर उद्धव और अक्रूर दोनों हँस पड़े और बोले, 'वाह कृष्ण, आप विवाह करने चले गए और हमें साथ भी नहीं ले गए!'
